Zari Foundation is committed to handling personal information with care. This site is designed to collect as little information as possible from visitors.
Information this website collects
The public pages of this site do not require you to create an account. When you use the "Make a Difference" flow, your selected amount and area of focus are stored temporarily in your own browser's session storage so you can return to the flow without starting over. Nothing about that selection is transmitted to us until you choose to send us a WhatsApp message.
When you contact us on WhatsApp
If you choose to continue on WhatsApp, the message you send is handled by WhatsApp on your device and their servers under WhatsApp's own privacy terms. We see the phone number you contact us from and the content of the message you send.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising cookies. Where analytics are enabled, only aggregate, non-identifying interaction events are recorded (for example, "donation flow started"). Donation amounts and personal details are never included.
Donor privacy
If, in future, the foundation displays supporter activity on this site, donor identity is protected by default. No identifying details about a supporter or their contribution will be shown publicly without that supporter's explicit consent.
Your rights
You may contact the foundation on WhatsApp at any time to ask about information we hold in relation to you, and to request correction or deletion where applicable under South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
